Large Anchor Plates for Industry and Plant Engineering

Project-Number: AiF / IGF 17654 N

Abstract

Especially in industry and plant engineering high flexibility in the area of connections between steel and concrete is required. According to current standards the maximum number of fasteners is limited to a distribution of three by three anchors on an anchor plate. The objective of the DASt/AiF research project is the development of new calculation approaches for large anchor plates with more than nine headed studs. In collaboration with the University of Kaiserslautern a new calculation approach will be developed for the large anchor plates based on the component method. This model will be verified by extensive test series. Tests under normal forces will be carried out at the University of Kaiserslautern and test under shear forces at the University of Stuttgart. Within this experiments parameters like embedment depth of the headed studs, thickness of the anchor plate and eccentricity of the shear loading are varied. Further parameter studies will be done based no numerical investigations on order to calibrate the analytic model for additional applications.
